Make the learning stick!

While organisations throughout the world spend billions of dollars on learning and development, it is estimated that only approximately 10 percent of what is learned, is actually transferred by learners to the workplace. In other words, most training is a waste of time and obviously money.

To overcome this waste and increase learning transfer, Gow Learning has developed a system to improve the ‘stickability’ of learning. Gow’s Learning Transfer Analysis System (LTAS) examines the environmental and individual factors which exist within organisations and highlights improvement opportunities.

Most importantly, we focus on assisting individuals to learn to learn as we believe that unless individuals possess highly developed meta-cognitive skills, then most learning is a waste of time and will not transfer to the workplace to any great degree.
